Dunsborough, Western Australia

We have arrived in Dunsborough Western Australia!! It is so great to see our friends Llewanna and Mayarn.  We have just been relaxing on the beach while the kids are in the water and this amazing white sand!

WA is a shark hot spot, it seems to be all beaches, so it has been really important the kids are only in the shallow water and always under supervision.  We are learning there is a increase in shark activity here but apparently the sea is well fished and waters are changing.  Apparently the government here is going to start baiting and culling sharks...such a tragedy.  This should not be happening.   The land here is being developed at a rapid rate but it is still quiet compared to the east coast and the beaches are so different.  The Indian Ocean is quite cool but we are having beautiful weather and have again missed the record heat waves going around the country.  There will be lots of pictures of the ocean because the colour of the water is just amazing!

On a positive note the seafood here is so fresh.  Last night we had the best seafood platter yet!  Fresh mussels, pickled octopus, snapper, salt and pepper squid, oysters and banana prawns.  The highlight was definitely the mussels in a thai dressing!

Kids are loving all being together again.  They just pick up where they left off from the last visit.  Spent the day at Meelup Beach.
