Denmark, WA

We arrived in Denmark with the cold misty rain! It was like a fairy land.  We found the most beautiful place to stay called Ocean Beach just off of an inlet.  The water, again, is crystal clear and blue green!  With the tide out we could float in the current and walk out on the sand bars.  Beautiful!

We had some down time here and just enjoyed the park and the walks.  We headed to the Valley of the Giants and this was incredible!  All these trees are called Red Tingles and the grow to 70 - 80 meters tall.  We took the tree top walk at 40 meters high!! loved it!

We the walked through the Ancient Empire!!  Here we saw a 400 year old Red Tingle.  They are magnificent.. The hollow out at the trunk due to fire, fungi or insects so they look like they are standing on nothing. The roots are also shallow so there is quite a bit of signage to stay off their beds.

After the Valley of the Giants we stopped in at Greens Pool and Elephant rock for our picnic. The water is pretty cool but that did not deter Issy or George!  This is an incredible formation of rocks that are so smooth and create a beautiful pool for us to swim in safe from the surf.
